starting this week, the recipe column returns back and every Saturday we will have a new proposal for your Sunday table.

Today we have for you "artichokes a la Polita"
1. 10-12 fresh or frozen artichokes
2. 1 cup of olive oil
3. 1 onion, diced
4. 2 medium carrots, sliced
5. 8 medium sized potatoes cut into quarters
6. 1/2 Federal dill finely chopped
7. Salt & Pepper
8. 1 egg
9. Lemon juice
A. If you have fresh artichokes, remove the stem and cut the outer leaves and the tips. Remove use the knife to cut the fluff from the artischoken and enter it immediately in a bowl with water and the juice of 2 lemons, so that they do not brown.If the artichokes refrigerated, leave these level way.
B. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the onions. Add potatoes, carrots and mix for 1-2 minutes. Add the artichokes.
C. Add warm water, in order to cover the artichokes. Cover the pot and the food 30 minutes simmer until the vegetables are soft. Season with salt and pepper.
D. If necessary, add a little more hot water. The egg and mix with the juice of a lemon. Add a little liquid out of the pot and mix well, then drain back into the pot and the pot.
